Silent Yet Loud: A Celebration of Art, Expression, and Sustainability at Khan El Franj, Saida
Rafik Hariri University (RHU) in collaboration with the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development (HF), proudly presents "Silent Yet Loud," a two-day art exhibition that brings together student creativity, sustainability, and cultural dialogue. The event will take place on May 30 and 31, 2025, at the historic Khan El Franj in Saida.
Curated to reflect both personal and collective expressions, the exhibition showcases the diverse talents of RHU students through visual art that speaks volumes—even in silence. The works on display address themes of identity, environmental consciousness, and artistic exploration, embodying the voice of a new generation of changemakers.
The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, May 30, at 5:00 PM, and will feature speeches by:
Ms. Bahia Hariri, President of the Hariri Foundation
Dr. Said Ladiki, President of RHU
Mr. Tom Young, renowned British-Lebanese artist known for his preservation of Lebanese heritage through art
Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests will be invited to explore the student artwork and listen to the musical band playing.
The second day of the event, Saturday, May 31 at 12:00 PM, will spotlight a curated series of artist talks. Ten Lebanese artists will each share a 15-minute talk, offering insights into their creative process, personal journeys, and visions for the future of art in Lebanon and beyond. Featured speakers include:
Bernard Renno, George El Mor, Dahlia Khodur, Kalim Bechara, Yasmina Hilal, Farah Kobrosli, Nadine Zahereddine, Ismail Shreidy, Sarah Makki, Rabih El Shaarani.
The exhibition will conclude with an inspiring visit to Hamam Al Jadeed, where attendees will discover Tom Young’s latest immersive installation exploring themes of heritage, memory, and restoration in the heart of Saida’s old town.
"Silent Yet Loud" is more than an exhibition—it is a platform for meaningful artistic dialogue, a celebration of youth expression, and a call to sustainable creativity. RHU and the Hariri Foundation are thrilled to welcome the community, art lovers, and cultural institutions to take part in this powerful experience.
