This is pareidolia, the impulse to see stories where none exist. I paint with intuition, letting faces and figures emerge from chaos. Like life here in the Middle East, nothing is ever clear. We see through layers of memory, faith, class, and trauma. My figures are not portraits, but reflections of perception itself. What we see is never only what is there, it is what we carry within.
