PALESTINE : SOLIDARITY IN ACTION : NABU MUSEUM'S FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR DR. GHASSAN ABU SITTAH CHILDREN’S FUND

Art

Du 22/02/2024 à 18:00 jusqu'au 23/02/2024 à 18:00

In acknowledgment of the challenging circumstances, Nabu Museum proudly announces a significant fundraising event standing in solidarity with Palestine, specifically addressing the distressing situation in Gaza. Over the past four months, it has faced a devastating conflict resulting in the loss of 35,096 lives, including 13,642 children.

The collective commitment adds a profound layer of impact to the primary objective of supporting the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund, whose mission is to treat children who are victims of the war in Gaza, with holistic and comprehensive care, including medical, psychological, and social interventions.

The first initiative for the Fund, under the expert guidance of Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah, is the transportation of critically injured children with their caretakers from Gaza to Lebanon, where they can receive the best possible medical, psychological, and social care, before returning home to Palestine where they will continue their recovery.

Artists from diverse backgrounds have chosen to join this cause, generously donating their works. These donations will be showcased in an exhibition curated by Art on 56th gallery titled “Palestine” at Beit Beirut. The opening reception is on February 22th from 6-8pm, with previews on the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. In parallel, the online auction is scheduled for February 22-23, hosted by Nada Boulos Auction platform. This joint pledge to supporting children in need is crucial, and we are honored to feature impactful contributions. Together, we can make a positive difference and stand with Gaza!
