Riyad Ne’mah (Baghdad, 1968) earned a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the College of Fine Arts, Baghdad, in 1992. In 2000, he received the British Council Prize in Damascus.

His paintings, defined by bold brushwork, vivid color, and faceless figures, reflect on his childhood, memories, and self-reflection. Balancing lyricism with realism, Ne’mah’s work remains both deeply personal and widely resonant.

He has exhibited widely across the Middle East and Europe, including in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, the Gulf, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Prague, and Basel.
