This black-and-white photographic series unveils the sculptural beauty of Oscar Niemeyer’s unfinished modernist masterpiece - the Rachid Karami International Fair (RKIF) in Tripoli. Through Nadine Ashkar’s lens, the raw concrete forms of this architectural landmark are reimagined as symbols of feminine strength, transformation, and resilience.

Recognized in 2023 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and the first of Niemeyer’s works outside Brazil to receive this distinction - the RKIF stands as a powerful testimony to Lebanon’s 20th-century aspirations and its enduring cultural ties with Brazil.
