“A Droplet of Infinity” is a full-day celebration for the 135th birthdate of Mikhaïl Naimy whose mind and philosophy are infinite, and to whom this festive day is a droplet in Naimy’s infinity. From 10 a. m. to 4.30 p. m., the day is divided to six axes of different themes that commemorate with word, poetry, music, and life testimonies Naimy’s great literary works.

With two recesses of coffee break and lunch break inserted into the program, the Mikhaïl Naimy special day is a nourishment to the soul, the mind, and the body.

Background Music:  Dr. Walid Ghoulmiyeh, “Reflections of Nostalgia” from his album Times and Caravans that narrates Mikhail Naimy’s main life phases in music

-  Dr. Walid Ghoulmiyeh composed his music that narrates the life of Mikhail Naimy upon the request of Pres. Elias Sarkis who initiated the honorary festival for Mikhail Naimy in May 1978.

*The two paintings and their captions Najwa’l Ghouroub and Min Wahyil’ Masseeh are drawn by Ms. Rima Ghanem who teaches at Balamand University and at ALBA.

*All the photos of Mikhail Naimy exhibited in the outside hall and/or played during the festive day on stage are for the courtesy of Suha Haddad Naimy, the curator of the Mikhail Naimy Mimasuna Home-Museum in Mtayleb that documents the last twenty years Naimy spent in his Zalka home where he took his last breath on Friday, February 28, 1988. 

*Mimasuna is the one word that combines the first two letters of each of the names and surname Mikhail, May, Suha, Naimy, to mirror the close-knit bond that united the three elements of the one family as one heartbeat and one word, the family that encompassed Mikhail Naimy’s last twenty years as he encompassed it.
