IMM AZIZ – ABOUT MOTHERS WHO WAITED LONG THEN LEFT

Dar Al-Mussawir and ACT for the Disappeared cordially invite you to the opening of a photography exhibition entitled “Imm Aziz – About mothers who waited long then left” to mark the journey of Imm Aziz Al-Dirawi as seen through the eyes of Dar al-Mussawir. The exhibition will take place on Mothers’ Day to honor the mothers of the missing in the Lebanese war and in memory of those who have passed away.

The exhibition will display photographs taken by Dar Al-Mussawir during the numerous protests in which Imm Aziz and her companions participated over the years, along with a short documentary where she narrates her journey. Imm Aziz, who left us last November at the age of 91 without knowing anything about the fate of her four sons, witnessed their abduction during the Lebanese civil war in 1982.

The exhibition will open on Wednesday, March 22nd 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and will continue till March 31st 2023 from 11 AM to 7:00 PM daily except on Saturdays and Sundays.
