Speaker's Bio


Joelle AbouFarhat
Co-Founder & President @Fiftyfiftylb NGO, Lebanon
Personal/Political Branding Expert @JoBrandingad

Joelle holds a master’s degree in “Journalism and Press Agencies” from the Lebanese University.
She founded Fifty Fifty , a Lebanese NGO involving women and men , aiming at promoting gender equality in public and private sectors , focusing mainly on political decision-making positions.
She contributed enormously to the huge increase of female candidates‘ number in the 2018 parliamentary elections in Lebanon from 12 candidates in 2009, to 113 candidates in 2018.
She is currently running different programs about political empowerment for women, preparing female candidates for the upcoming 2022 parliamentary elections.
Joelle is also an expert in Personal and Political Branding. She founded her own communication agency Jo Branding Advertising aiming at helping individuals craft their ways into politics.
Joelle received the “Evelyne Bustros” award for her work on empowering women in politics.
