"Tarboosh Jeddeh Maallak" is the story of all our stories, the tale of departures that are etched into our destinies. Hala is the one who leaves, Ibrahim is the one who stays, and between them unfolds a love story born in shelters during the war, spanning decades from the 1980s to the 2000s.

A love story repeatedly interrupted by the instabilities in Lebanon. Hala finds herself moving through different host cities: Paris, Montreal, Dubai… Wherever she goes, she strives to integrate into the local culture while carrying with her a fragment of Lebanon, a piece of herself that will never leave her. During her travels, Ibrahim’s voice lingers with her, symbolizing the deep connection she continues to maintain with Lebanon.
