Mikhael fadel's work is a dialogue between patience, discipline and the quiet havoc of the human spirit.

Mikhael Fadel's artistic practice is shaped by ritual, repetition, and the slow accumulation of gesture. His compositions use intricate patterning to reflect both the order he seeks and the inner turbulence he transforms. What appears as ornament is actually emotional architecture—a visual negotiation between stillness and endurance.

Deeply rooted in Levantine heritage, his work draws from the ancestral blueprints of Persian carpets, Damascene crafts, and Byzantine sacred geometry. For those who share this inheritance, his paintings feel instinctively familiar; for others, they offer a contemplative space into the region's sensibility.

Fadel's process involves both painting and carving, a tactile gesture of incision. Repetition is his refuge: both method and meaning, wound and repair. Through this practice, he reclaims ornament as testimony, giving form to a modern folklore where heritage becomes contemporary language.

Born in 1978 and raised in Lebanon, Mikhael Fadel began painting at an early age, first discovering his fascination with color and form through simple crayons. This early passion gradually evolved into a deeper exploration of oil painting, leading to his first collective exhibition in 2009–2010 at Daraj el Fan, where his work leaned toward figurative, impressionism, and modern iconography.

In the years that followed, Fadel's creative journey expanded into epoxy art and functional design, producing art furniture that bridged craftsmanship and visual poetry. This period refined his sensitivity to texture, surface, and material—elements that continue to shape his current practice.

Since 2020, he has dedicated himself fully to his present line of work: intricate, pattern-based paintings that explore repetition, identity, and rhythm. His pieces have been shown in numerous collective exhibitions both in Lebanon and abroad, including collaborations with KAF Gallery and Al Mezzanine Gallery Dubai, as well as participation in Art Cairo’s 5th and 6th editions.

His upcoming solo exhibition, opening on November 20, 2025, marks a new chapter—a culmination of years of exploration, discipline, and transformation.
