Shawki Youssef, artist of our current exhibit Extimacy, will be at Beirut Contemporary on Saturday October 9th. Join us for a Meet and Greet where the artist will uncover a new piece and give a short presentation about his work.

Shawki is a Lebanese expressionistic artist whose work explores the conditions of Lebanese contemporary society and their enduring effects on human beings. He draws inspiration from the people, the space and the experiences around him. His work reflects traces of bodies, places, and nature.

We are extending Extimacy’s end date by one week. The new end date, which will coincide with the Meet and Greet, will be on Saturday, October 9th.
