The Mark Hachem Gallery is pleased to present “Beneath the Surface”, a solo show by Lebanese artist Betty Yaghi that will be on viewing from the 27th of October until the 7th of November.

This exhibition will showcase works that will invite the viewer into a new reality that will envoke complex human emotion. Yaghi’s style embodies the spirit of “action painting”, the result is a recognizable style made of balanced strokes, precise splashes, and detailed elements. The works give off an allure of spontaneity, but are anchored with intent and a strong form. Her paintings carry both a lightness and a darkness, and invoke feelings of harmony, but also interruption, to depict structure within chaos.
