BEAUTIFUL SCARS, CHARBEL ABOU ZEIDAN
Art01/11/2025 de 17:00 à 19:00
Born and raised in Lebanon, Charbel was shaped by a landscape of contrasts, between peace and chaos, the beautiful and the brutal, the sophisticated and the traditional. These oppositions deeply influenced his perception of design, aesthetics, and meaning. With a background in architecture and experience in fashion, Charbel’s work exists at the intersection of structure, surface, and form. He uses materials like silicone, latex, charcoal, pastel, and paint… balancing industrial and fine art elements. His practice centers on contrast: colour and monochrome, flatness and volume, organic and graphic. Color is never accidental, but layered with intention to create depth and tension. He elevates what is usually hidden: overlock stitches, the backs of canvases, materials often considered secondary. His work is tactile, precise, and experimental, a meeting point where architecture, fashion, and art dissolve into a new visual language.
