We are back! Welcome to our 5th edition from 23 till 26 Sep 2021 at Sunflower theatre Tayouneh, Beirut.

This year’s theme is: Occupy the Void.
It will focus on civil society and the power of youth and their ambitions for social and political change, for equal and full political and public participation. It will also focus on their demands for the respect of the human rights of everyone including refugees, and freedom from discrimination. 
As you know, our country is now going through immense political and social changes, that are happening in parallel to a devastating economic and financial crisis, worsened by the catastrophic effect of Covid-19 pandemic.

KBHRFF’s 5th version coincides with the movement of the Lebanese people that aims to recover the true meaning of the Constitution and laws and reshape the national identity according to values of citizenship and the standards enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Through film screenings, discussions and other activities, KBHRFF calls to occupy the void with a rights- based, comprehensive, public, and practical culture to achieve human dignity.
21 films, Fiction and documentary all of which will be screened at the Sunflower theatre, Tayouneh, subtitled in both English & Arabic. As every year, debates and Q&A’s will be organized after almost every film. Students from over Lebanon will benefit from two master classes for free that will be given during the days of the festival.
