Shells & Shiny Things is Nour Schumann’s first solo exhibition.
 

Having taken up embroidery in March 2020, this exhibition stems from the artist’s desire to showcase the natural beauty of shells found on the beaches of Kent, where she resides, by immersing the viewer in a world of textures, both natural and manmade that require an intimate connection brought on by the scale of the works and the technique with which they were made. 
 

With shells found exclusively on the beaches of Kent, Shells & Shiny Things is about the appreciation of natural beauty woven with handmade embroidery.
