RESTORING ARTWORKS AFTER AUGUST 4, 2020 & CHRISTMAS MARKET

The Sursock Museum is pleased to invite you onThursday 15 December at 7pmto a public talk by Veronique Sorano-Stedman, head of the restoration and conservation department of modern and contemporary art at the Centre Pompidou. The presentation would give an overview of the restoration process of the artworks damaged at the Museum following the explosions of August 4, 2020. Veronique Sorano-Stedman would be joined by Beirut-based restorers Caroline Gelot and Kerstin Khalife.
On the same day,from 5 to 9pm, the Museum store is organizing its annual Christmas market, featuring objects and crafts from local designers. All proceedings would be going to the Museum.
The Museum is still undergoing rehabilitation works and should reopen in the spring of 2023. However, the Library, Store, Auditorium and Restaurant are operational.
