Saleh Barakat Gallery invites you to the launch of Brigitte Caland’s book Promenades Culinaires on Thursday, December 17, 4-7pm. 

Brigitte Caland who has a Doctorate from INALCO Paris in Literature and Civilization, is also a trained chef. In Promenades Culinaires she invites the reader to travel through staple Middle Eastern dishes such as hummus, tabbuleh, manti, and börek, among others in time and in space. Following the journey of their ingredients, the reader discovers the historic, the social and the religious background of culinary traditions of the area.
