NUMBER ONE ON OLT20: Fares Karam

After 4 weeks of Chart domination by Abeer Nehme, it is now the turn of Lebanese singer Fares Karam to hit the Number 1 Spot on The Official Lebanese Top 20 with his latest single “Aa Mawedna Walla Shou” his 7th Number One in Lebanon! Quite an achievement from Karam (born in Jezzine, in Southern Lebanon) who specializes in the Dabke style and Lebanese music in general. The Video for “Aa Mawedna Walla Shou” (Directed by Joe Bou Eid) has so far been viewed 5 Million Times on YouTube!

On this 15th Chart of the year we have 3 New Entries. The highest one is “Dr. Fel Hob” by Lebanese Legend singer Walid Toufic & Jad Shwery which debuts at Number 15, followed by Australian singer Tones and I who scores a new Hit on OLT20 with “Eyes Don’t Lie” (the lead single from her forthcoming second studio album) in at Number 19, and by Kuwaiti rapper Daffy in a duet titled "Adios” in collaboration with Kuwaiti fashionista Rawan Bin Hussein who jointly come in at Number 20.  

Also note that the jump of the week comes from both Lebanese singer-songwriter Christine Abi Najm alonside her sister Nadine Maalouf with “Ya Nargessi” which bullets up to Number 4 (from Number 17 last week).

On OLT20 this week we have 10 Local or Regional artists, and 10 Occidental ones.
