“Heritage” by Lebanese-French artist Joseph Abou Khalil is a watercolor exhibition featuring breathtaking Lebanese watercolor sceneries. The exhibition takes place at the Diaspora Village in Batroun and is in collaboration with them. Part of the proceeds will support the corporate social activities of the diaspora village.

Biography

Joseph Maurice Abou Khalil is a self-taught Lebanese watercolor and acrylic artist, recently based in Paris. He excels in the use of color arrangement and composition. He has been drawing ever since he could hold a pencil and has not put it down since. 

After a long and successful international career mainly in producing architectural illustrations and perspectives, drawing, sketching and jewellery design, he is currently devoting himself to painting and specializes in amazing landscape watercolor paintings exploring Nature and its shimmering light and capturing fleeting moments of every day's life. 

A lover of colors, he fervently pursues new ways to group them in conversation with one another, leaving one-of-a-kind constellations in his wake. He explores unlimited chromatic and tonal scales; his palette is innovative, vibrant and complex. He expertly blends light and shades to create depths and contrasts in his paintings. 

The artist showcases an extensive mastery of color theory, innate sense of rhythm, and compositional elements to each of his pieces. His art is a visual poetry bursting forth with relentless energetic expression. He has developed his own visual vocabulary along with an inimitable style. 

With utmost proficiency, he invites us to view the world as a magical, dynamic, and invigorating panorama. Through his work, we experience our universe with a new expansive and compelling perspective.
