Ottorino Respighi (1879–1936)
Sonata in B minor for Violin and Piano, P. 110 (1917)
One of Respighi’s most profound chamber works, this sonata blends romantic passion with virtuosic brilliance. Composed during World War I, it stands as a deeply personal statement, foreshadowing the sweeping orchestral colors of his later symphonic poems.
