This workshop aims to introduce the young participants to Sahar’s paper creation techniques resulting in out of the ordinary characters.

Each participant will be asked to choose an object from their home, which will become the basis of the mould from which their character will be built. Sahar will then teach the group how to create shapes from paper, using the classic balloon technique and by adding additional layers, shapes to bring to life their character of choice. 

Sahar Hafda is a Beirut-born, Lebanese artist who works with paper. She is the founder of Sahar’s Paper Objects, known for its unique crafts of handmade creatures and creations, jewellery  and unusual home objects.
