Du 26/04/2024 à 18:00 jusqu'au 25/05/2024 à 18:00

Art on 56th is proud to announce "Every Table Has a Story," a solo exhibition featuring the compelling works by artist Ghylan Safadi, scheduled to open on the 26th of April. Safadi's art is characterized by its use of cartoon imagery, which he skillfully employs to create sketch-like social vignettes. Within these compositions, a multitude of diverse figures come to life, each contributing to the narrative of these thought-provoking scenes.

Ghylan Safadi's artwork is a profound reflection of the multifaceted issues that shape our contemporary world. Whether exploring social, political, environmental, or deeply personal themes, each of his pieces serves as a narrative, unraveling the unsettling realities of our times. Safadi’s works skilfully emanate a certain irony, as the childlike representations come into contrast with the obscure and mature themes.

Engaging with Safadi's work, viewers are compelled to confront the nuances of our world, sparking conversations and inspiring action towards positive change. Through his art, Safadi challenges us to confront the uncomfortable, to question established conventions, and to aspire to a just and more compassionate society.
